“If you want to know the extent of the Creator’s wisdom and the limitation of the knowledge of created beings, then look at what is in the seas, such as the varieties of fish, marine animals, shells and countless other sea creatures. Their benefits are being discovered little by little and people apprehend these things by way of new devices.”

الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام:
فإذا أرَدتَ أنْ تَعرِفَ سَعةَ حِكمَةِ الخالِقِ و قِصَرَ عِلمِ المَخلوقينَ فانْظُرْ إلى ما في البحار مِن ضُروبِ السَّمَكِ ، و دَوابِّ الماءِ ، و الأصْدافِ و الأصْنافِ الّتي لا تُحْصى و لا تُعْرَفُ مَنافِعُها إلاّ الشّيْءَ بَعدَ الشّيْءِ ، يُدرِكُهُ النّاسُ بأسْبابٍ تَحْدُثُ.

امام صادق عليه السلام:
اگر خواهى كه به گستردگى حكمت آفريدگار، و ناچيزى دانش آفريدگان پى برى، به انواع ماهيهاى درياها و جنبندگان آبى و صدفها و ديگر انواع و اصناف [جانوران دريايى ]بنگر كه به شماره نيايند و منافع آنها جز اندك، اندك شناخته نشوند، مردم [در آينده] با ابزارها و وسايل نو پديد، به آنها پى مى برند.
